Crafthub is proud to introduce CRAFTS, the quarterly magazine we produce for the Sarawak Craft Council

Now into its third year, CRAFTS has gained much positive feedback from its far-flung readership. We do our best to keep readers informed of local developments, to let them know what’s new on the regional and international crafts scene, and to disseminate Sarawak crafts news to the world.

CRAFTS features local artisans and craft agencies, particularly those involved in training and promotion. Unusual crafts – such as making sape, the traditional Borneo guitar – are of particular interest to readers overseas; local readers in turn like to keep up to date with exhibitions and special events overseas.

Readers can help to promote CRAFTS, and indeed crafts, in three ways:

• Contribute articles and photos to CRAFTS. The editor welcomes any relevant materials, like biographies of notable craftworkers, reports on a new crafts form, or the revival of an old one, tips and hints on marketing, changing consumer preferences and tastes…if it’s relevant to crafts, we want to publish it in CRAFTS! Send submissions to Crafthub Publication.

• Inform us of any projects, events, conferences that you may be planning, for inclusion in our What’s On column. Please remember that CRAFTS is a Quarterly, and send information well in advance.

• Advertise in CRAFTS. Our print run is 1500 and rising, circulation is local and international, and our rates are very moderate.
